Just found this news and find it kind of strange...

Japanese legend Hidetoshi Nakata is set to step back into football.
The former Fiorentina and Roma star is heading a Japanese consortium planning a takeover of Italy's Perugia.

Cash-strapped Perugia currently play in Serie C1.

I thought Perugia used to be a top team... Is Nakata this rich?

As stated, he's heading a Japanese consortium so it will most likely consist of quite a lot of possible investors. Knowing that Nakata is a god in Japan, he probably has the right contacts to get the money.

I think Perugia underwent the same financial problems as Fiorentina (they are back in serie A now) back in the days so they had to drop 3 divisions.
