My sister spends a lot of money on/for/to/in something

Dear native English speakers,
which preposition would be used,
(a) My sister spends a lot of money on clothing.
(b) My sister spends a lot of money for clothing.
(c) My sister spends a lot of money to clothing.
(d) My sister spends a lot of money in clothing.

I think (a) would be fine, but how about the others?

Only (a) is what you should be teaching / using.
(c) and (d) are grammatically problematic and should be avoided.
(b) is grammatically OK, but conveys a different nuance. It suggests that your sister pays more money than what is necessary / than what other people pay (e.g., she doesn't buy clothing at a discount or bargain price).
