I have quite a few questions about living in the Osaka area, I would be really greatful if anybody could answer even part of one =)!

Starting this october I may be going to a language school in Ozaki (right outside of Osaka, right?) for 1.5 years, so I'm looking for some kind of apartment or dormitory there but I don't quite know where to start.

I looked at gakuseikaikann and they have several dormitories in Osaka, but most of them are above 80,000yen/month rent (2 meals/day included), which is definitely appealing, but I'm a little more fond of the idea of having an apartment of my own, or something smaller than that.

What's the train system like in Osaka, is it as good as Tokyo? Is as practical to live a little more out in Hyougo and commute in as it is to live in Chiba or Saitama and commute into Tokyo?

I'm really pretty clueless... Any other information you could give me would be great!!

Thanks!

I think Ozaki is on the other side of Kansai International Airport. :-)

Yes, Osaka is similar to Tokyo! The train system in Osaka is very good. And you can live in Kyoto , Nara, Wakayama and Hyogo.

Aah sorry about that I was mistaken with the Kanji!! It's 窶愿イツ催ィ (amazaki) not 窶敕カツ催ィ (ozaki)

Thank you so much! I love you!!

I've asked about the trains to people before but nobodys really been able to answer =/. ^^ thanks

Are you sure it is not Amagasaki? If it is then it is super convenient as it is a JR Shinkaisoku stop on the Kobe line so living anywhere between Sannomiya and Umeda would be great. The train system in that part of Kansai is much better than in Tokyo in my opinion.

Yes, you are in Amagasaki.

how do you qoute on this damn thing

also check kfm.to for Kansai classifieds info. comes out weekly, on Fridays, with accomodation/roomate hunters/jobs/etc.
