Movies To Look Forward To in 2005!

Hey, Whats this memoirs of a geisha. Is it strictly in Japan, or will it eventually be shown in the US. On the Star Wars topic, I saw Episodes One and Two, they were alright, but i couldnt quite grasp the entire meaning of the Jedi characters. King Kong, Ive seen the 1950's versions and the old Godzilla movies. Now to me, those were funny, to see a person in a rubber suit, smash through a model of the city. War od the Worlds, I would see that, but I hope its a good movie.

Tom Cruise is in War of the Worlds. I have a strict preference not to watch actors who have played white american/british soldiers gone samurai (Seriously, what?).
Star Wars: Episode III looks so cool but it's PG-13 in the US, so I have a bad feeling that I won't get to see Jar Jar Binks get mutilated...

Like others, I'm highly anticipating Batman Begins. It first caught my attention when I read that Christian Bale was to star as Batman. Bale is an amazing actor (American Psycho ;-) , Empire of the Sun), and any movie he's worked on (so far), is a good movie. So I did a little research, lo and behold, Nolan to direct! The guy behind Memento and Insomnia! And the story's written by David S. Goyer, who wrote the screenplay for Dark City. And there's the solid supporting cast. This shall be good.

That may have been me. Ken Watanabe will play arch bat-villain Ra's Al Ghul. I've seen the trailer and it'll be awesome!

Ken Watanabe in Batman? That's great!!!!!! Loved him in Last Samurai. Another reason to watch it aside from Christian Bale of course.

I saw "Sin City" the other day and ot was pretty damn decent. Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke and Rosarios Dawson were great in it. And it was kinda funny seeing ol' Frodo (Elijah Wood) as creepily silent, four eyed serial killer!

I agree. I couldn't take him seriously at all. Everytime he came on screen, all I could think was *hahahahobbithahaha. I was laughing throughout his death. Overall, Sin City was entertaining. It was good, but not great, for me.
