If you 'look' you will see the room you are in.
If you '@ways' you will see how you can leave the room you are in.
To see the Japanese room descriptions you will need to do the following ...

- Set MOOzilla -> Edit -> Preferences -> HTML mode to 'Raw source code'
- Set @misc-options +isolatin1
- @language nihongo (To see Japanese descriptions)
- @wrap off
- @pagelen 0 (unfortunatly)

To type in Japanese you will also need a patched MOOzilla. I can either email you the entire (500kb) .xpi file or I can email you the (tiny) file that is used to patch it and the (a tad complicated) instructions on how to do so.

Basically chat, roleplay, build areas & items, play some of the games other people have built there.

I spend most of my time thinking about translations, trying to work out how to support Japanese better and how to get more people to visit.

because だよ sounds gentler, softer and milder than 「だ」「である」.

That's sort of like a company's "Mission Statement". It looks very impressive, but it doesn't bear much relation to reality.

Incidently most of the help texts done haven't been put in MOOsaico yet - as command aliases are done in Japanese they'll need minor changes made.

Hi, long time no see here.

Yup, I've been busy elsewhere (when I haven't been ill ^^; ).

I've been looking at the Smaug MUD codebase - allegedly there is a unicode UTF-8 patch for it somewhere but I haven't been able to find it. Personally I tend to prefer MUDs to MOOs, in theory I might be able to get a MUD running on my home computer (but I'll probably find there are horrible problems when I actually try it...)

As a MUD there would be more emphasis on character levelling / improvement / doing quests and less on building / chatting / mini-games.

Of course this is all very hypothetical at the moment.

I'm actually too busy to be spending the time wandering Japanese forums that I am so I'll have a proper look at your translation this evening. :sorry:
