Some of you may not know what a Moo is. Basically it's a chatroom set in a text based virtual world.
Recently I've been looking into MUDs and MOOs that support Japanese text. There aren't any.
But there could be as there are several patches around that could let MUDs / MOOs run in unicode (UTF-8).
One of the things I came across was moosaico which is a multi-lingual moo and includes various features to support a multilingual community. (However at present I think it has a grand total of one Japanese 'speaker' - me)
Anyway, down to business, the following are room descriptions that I've tried to translate into Japanese. So if you could check, comment and / or correct I would be grateful.
You find yourself suddenly on the inside of an old, dusty grandfather clock. You barely have enough room to escape the swinging pendulum. Look out! It's sharp and heavy and could hurt you if you don't get out. You hear a noise coming from the outside, but you can't see through the clock's glass door, which is coated with years of dust - you may try to open it.
A large lobby where information utilities lie, being also a starting place to explore the research/entertainment facilities. At the corner, you hardly figure some stairs going down. You may enter the grandfather clock if it's your desire. An enormous copper gate stands to the east. Use it if you want to leave the House. The south shadows reveal a small door. An open archway stands to the north wall.
Through some dust and mouldy smell, you become aware of a variety of objects, whose origins had long ago been lost in time. You notice all of them have the desirable property of being recreated and changed as you wish.
