monbugakusho scholarship

Hey guys it has been a while since I have been able to post, school is pretty full on this year.

I am currently looking at a scholarship offered by the Japanese government called the "monbugakusho" scholarship and am trying to find out as much information as possible about it.

I have found all the general information you can find about it on the net so now I am looking to see if anyone has some firsthand experience of it, did you participate? How were you treated? was it beneficial etc.

If you have any information at all it would be fantastic to hear your opinion.

From what I have heard the scholarship is very easy to receive... almost a shoe in if you have any Japanese skills at all. Seems they usually have more money available than they can hand out...

From what I have heard in Belgium one can only get a monbugakushou scholarship if you're a f'ing elite student !

You do not need to know a single word of Japanese to get the Monbukagakusho scholarship, all you need to do is pass the exam and interview, and have your nomination to the Monbusho succeed.
