Modelling in Japan!

Hello!

I'm new to this site, and I'm in despret need of some help!

To start, I speak Japanese, and have a desire to model in Japan.

Recently, I hired a photographer, took some shots and have a portfolio.

The problem is, I don't know where to go from here!

Does anybody know any interenet sites where I can promote myself?

Or modelling sites where I can submit work?

I really need help!

You don't really have a portfolio. You have a collection of pictures someone took as a resume for you. A portfolio of experience...? Doesn't seem to be.

Do a search for modeling agents in Japan. Uh, just how well do you speak and read/write Japanese?

I am not in the mood to convey my level of Japanese, nor my current situation with modelling to someone who's oblivious to it.
And quite honestly I found your reply neither insightful nor helpful.

You should have just ignored my post, and seriously rethink about helping anyone else on this forum who comes here with a purpose to find solid advice.

I work in the Minato district which is quite close from Roppongi, and there's quite a few announces down the streets as well as in the magazines.
You may wanna check them up maybe?

If you speak Japanese, I'd suggest you to google with these key words ﾂ「ﾅ?Oﾂ坂?伉人ﾂ ﾆ停?堡断ﾆ停?ｹﾅｽ窶凪?督ｱﾂ焦?ﾂ」, you'll get tons of model agencies in Japan (mostly based in Tokyo) who are specialized in foreign models in Japan.
I've checked several of them, all of them say foreigners are welcome for registeration but all of them (so far) says "foreigners with visa that permits work".

If you're already in Japan and have a valid visa and work permits, yes, there are a lot of opportunities for you to be a model in Japan.

But if you want someone who gives you a modelling job and offers you a visa so that you can come and work in Japan, I'm afraid that the chance is extremely slim (unless you're already have great careet in your country and are a top model - that will be a different story.)

Quite a way to react to the first person to respond to your query. Are you just practicing being bitchy because that's how you expect models to act? You have no idea whom you are addressing, or just how helpful they could be if you have a positive attitude. Trying to put others down because you don't like what they say, especially when they are exemplary members of the forum you just came to begging for help, is petty and childish.

In other words, looks like you're off to a good start at becoming a model! Good luck in your future endeavors.

So, you don't want to respond to just little old me about your Japanese level? Look at the thread. Many others also read it, so you just ignored them, delayed the inevitable where perhaps someone else could have helped you sooner, and displayed a real negative attitude that will get you nowhere, either in Japan or on this forum. Congratulations.

Have you even done a search for the modeling agents before you posted here? Seems like a basic thing to do, but how about letting people know if you have? (I suspect you haven't because you would have written a few other details regarding their requirements.)

And, I see you still have not answered my question about being desperate. Sigh.

Oh, and I'm not oblivious to anything. I answered your post, didn't I? Just because you can't provide enough background info doesn't mean you should jump down a person's throat. Save it for the dressing room catfights.
