Minor Problem??

Just finished formatting my drive & loading in XP "PRO". Everything was OK till I went to chat? Iget a empty box with a RED X up in the top left . I have pop-ups allowed, cookies allowed, and security on medium & low. Any idea which setting I have to change to get on? Using IE for my browser.

yeah the chat is java based so you need java to use it, amongst other things

Yeah, it seems as if your browser is missing the Java plug-in. Though IE usually comes with it, so it's a bit strange.
