Minimum wage part-time job in Tokyo

What's the minimum wage of a part-time job in Tokyo if you have a student visa ?

The lowest I've seen is 820ish yen per hour.

Its depends on your way of life. If you want to study here, you better have some money stocked up first. Unless you're on a scholarship.

but in relative of other part-time job, its low, I'm guessing it's not minimum since I don't know if theres a minimum limit on part-time work wage or not.

The minimum wage is, well, a minimum wage. It would be tough to live on that wage level comfortably. Always good to aim for a market rate instead of settling on the lowest denominator in the wage scale.

No.

I believe part of the student visa qualification process is proving that you have sufficient resources to pay for your schooling and living expenses quite separate from any funds you might earn while here. It isn't meant to operate on a earn-as-you-go, work your way through school basis.

Wow, that is 245 Thai Baht an hour. I think that is very high. I am interested in working for that much. That is like a daily wage in Thailand made in just 1 hour.

Thanks for the answers so far. As I'm planning to attend a Japanese language school next year, it might be nice to safe up some money for travelling in and maybe out of Japan.

As Mike Cash stated, they are indeed picky on your bank balance situation. You need to prove that you have enough (let's say more than enough) money to support yourself.

820 yen/hour is like a minimum wage of a part-time job in Belgium so it's not bad.

Oh and remember most place have a -100 yen to the per hour wage for the first xx hours (something like a trial period).

When finding a job, try to be picky. Theres alot of 1000+ yen jobs that you can do, and It shouldn't be hard to find if you have a conversational-level Japanese skill.
