There are 2 vacations. Winter break and summer break (as far as i can tell they are a few weeks long)How long are vacations usually? It is possible to work up to 8 hours a day during those periods
I didnot do that. I just explained why its necessary to do that research in Japan (in interview)is it compulsory for my research to link my home country to Japan? Am carrying out a computer science based research and as hard as I try, my country doesn't fit into it but the research is best suited to be carried out in japan. so is that enough or I need to do more work
You need to ask the university about this. Some of my friends have been accepted into Japanese programs with zero Japanese ability, but their fields are different (science) and their primary focus will be doing research (working in labs, etc). But Do you think I can choose a japanese program ? It seems like six months in japanese courses will not be enough to attend university courses

Study program in Japan:
Last year's thread has posts where we have mentioned interview questions.Second, my adviser told me to think of question they might ask in the interview, any suggestions?
Around a month or so. I dont remember if there was an applicant from your country last year, but you can check last year's thread.I know it depends on one's country but there has to be like a range.
It's where you explain what your research will be about in Japan. You can find more info here : MEXT Field of Study Form | TranSenz: Expat Living in JapanThis is probably a weird question but what exactly is the research proposal? I'm applying through the embassy in Atlanta, Georgia but the guidelines that I have and the site didn't say anything about one so I didn't know about it until recently.
Yes, it's possible.I've read it so many times I've actually forgotten: it is possible to get the scholarship for a total of 3 years if one gets into a master, isn't it? So 1 year of language course + entrance exam and 2 years of actual master?
In my country, it's approx. 1 month.Hello. I have recently submitted my documents to my local embassy a week ago. The deadline is June 15th, but I would like to know how soon the embassy gets back with you. Is it usually after the deadline or a few weeks after you submit your documents. Thank you.
Oh,.. How many pages you wrote.I have not been taken...
Hello Friends... I am new to this group. Thank you for sharing your valuable inputs. I am from India and have applied for MEXT 2018 for embassy recommendation. My main concern is the number of pages of my research proposal. It is structured and pretty much detailed. Would any one tell if this is going to back fire. I checked with Japanese embassy here, who said it is not of an issue, but still a concern for me. Did anyone one of you come across this situation? Thanks in advance for your feedback...
