A few pages ago I read you're in social sciences. Would you mind telling me which departments you applied for at Waseda and Todai?
I went with Todai second and I regret it, my prof wrote me such a nice letter a second after I handed out the forms. I mostly put Todai second because I didn't take the GRE yet and they absolutely require it. Anyway, I was told answers will be out in December and can drag until early next year.
As for making the assumption I got it. I've started taking steps to prepare but nothing concrete. I sent some feelers to people to see if I can secure a job for my wife and stuff like that. I think I'll start selling the stuff in my apartment. I'm going to Japan with my wife, clothes and PS4 :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.
Angolaofficially handed in... and now, to wait... :emoji_wink:... anyone from South Africa???
Just updating that I got a timeline from the embassy. Answers will come in December... So stressful...Even with the LoAs who know what will happen

I'm sharing my current situation.....
Whenever I open my Laptop or Mobile, the first thing I open is my gmail, with a lot more curiosity.
When a new mail come with my unique mail tone , It takes some micro second to check that mail.
And when there is no new mail, I try to refresh the page more than 5 times along with my spam box too. Although I know its like some madness ! :emoji_slight_frown:
But every time it makes me disappointed no mail regarding the second screening...:emoji_rolling_eyes:
I was not familiar to this thread, just yesterday Shree(one of applicant like me) introduced me about it.
It's really quiet helpful and there are so many active members are here. I started reading the previous comments. And It took me about 4 hours to read most of the previous comments and the experiences shared by the applicants .
And I found that I'm not the only one who has this panic during waiting time ! :emoji_slight_smile:
Mean while I called the the embassy but Mr. Sinha told me he will contact me when they get the information from MEXT...
They could't tell about the number of scholarship also ! :emoji_confused:
I wish I could hibernate myself until December ! Can't concentrate in my work.......
I'm trying to forget that I've applied for it. :emoji_frowning:
I don't know if I'm gonna get any mail from either University or potential supervisor.....
So just I've to wait and hope for the best with finger crossed..... :emoji_neutral_face:

Mine is UEC university of Electro-Communication in tokyo city, The university of Aizu fukushima city and kyoto university kyoto city. so far I did not see anyone with this preference.Thanks buddy ! :emoji_grinning:

Hi CenturiesThe LOAs you received can only be used for Embassy-Recommended MEXT acceptance. So, if something happened and you didn't get through the final round, the LOAs would be void and you would have to apply another way.
