i live in the U.K we dont see much manga around where i live, but ive seen metropolis and it was really good, amazing story line. :-)

What im tryingto say is does anyone else know of any other really good magna films? šŸœ

Hi (sorry I don't want to call you potato ! :sorry: )

Well it all depends what kind of anime (i.e. manga in films) you like. Have you ever watched Miyazaki's anime ? They are al worth watching, but the most popular are maybe "Spirited Away" and "Nausicaa". Have a look at our shop for DVD's.

hi potatoe,
maciamo is right, but I personnaly prefer sento no chihiro and Porco Rosso... Anyway, according to most of anime's fan Miyazaki is a genius, so why don't you beginn with his movies ?

Not that I want to disagree with you but "Sen to Chihiro" is just the Japanese title of "Spirited away".

Miyazaki's good indeed but here lot of people also liked Mononoke Hime and Laputa the castle in the sky.
You should also try Grave of the fireflies (hotaru no haka) from takahata this one almost made me cry when I first saw it years ago...

I saw metropolis. That was personally a very good anime. The drawing styel was cool. šŸ‘ U should aslo try checking Escaflowne. I could tell you more but its better researching this one. You will be throughly surprised. šŸ™‚

You have to see Ghost in the shell...also Ninja Scroll, Wrath of the ninja, vampire hunter D,Blood: The movie. Also a cool one that soon will be online is APPELSEED...came out in Japan last week ;-)....some of my personal favourites..

hi this is potatoe an thanxs for the replies, ive heard of spirited away is that about a boy who finds a secrect world. if so i might try and get my hands on it.

hmm... I nearly fell asleep, when I was watching metropolis... o.O but well, yeah, it's kinda cute! ^^ but then again...

Lol the same happened to me while I was watching these weird shojo animes ^^

I only got about half way through Metropolis, but I liked Ninja Scroll, and Miyazaki's stuff.

I know.. the drawing style's nice, but they drag the whole thing too much... or that's what I think

actually, i felt they went too fast, in comparison to the manga

For a little clarification, the original Japanese title for Spirited Away is 千ćØåƒå°‹ć®ē„žéš±ć—, read as "Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi" - The Spiriting Away of Sen and Chihiro.

For the new viewer, I'd recommend anything by Hayao Miyazaki, particularly my favourites Nausicaテ、 of the Valley of Wind, Princess Mononoke and My Neighbour Totoro. Akira, Neon Genesis Evangelion, a bit of Trigun and Cowboy Bebop also serve as a good introduction for some, Pretty Soldier Sailormoon (particularly the R movie) and Ah! My Goddess! for others.
:-) Try to steer clear of some of the stranger, more alien stuff (Lain, Utena) when showing newbie friends... it might weird them out.
