Hi, I'm new to this thread (and to Jref on the whole actually), but this had to be my first stop as Malice Mizer are my first love when it comes to Visual Kei and music in general. So, um hey other MM fans! *waves* Hope this thread is still nice and lively

Love the song, love the video and LOVE it live in Merveilles l'espace <3 I really like all the photoshoots and costumes for this single too ^.^ I like my Malice kinky XD Plus Kﾃｶzi wrote the music, so you know it's gonna be awesome from the start

I have literally studied this songs lyrics/imagery etc and love it to death (one of my all-time faves!)

What does everyone else like about 'Illuminati'?

Oh, that sandwich part is my favourite XD My sister is an artist, and as a birthday present for me she's painting that beautiful moment on a huge canvas for my bedroom wall <3

I'm also addicted to Color Me Blood Red! It's got to be one of the best songs MM did. I'm so glad they gave Kozi his moment to shine, he has such a sexy voice (and looks damn good on the live version of it too *.*)...Wish he'd done more singing for the band, that would have been sweet <3

[I just really like this pic of Klaha for some reason XD So I thought I'd use it 'cause I can't get hold of any of my favourite Kozi pics at the moment - my laptop has broken and they're stuck on there *cries* No, I've only been on this thread so far, but I;'m gonna wok my way through some others yet! ^.^]

it seems mana and kozi are pretty different guys and they get along well with each other though [maybe this is a past, who knows] it's not usual, is it.. people tend to have similar friends, ne?

Haha, well, my sister's not really into MM all that much - she used to hate them! But I've got her into them a bit more recently (she was always a Gackt solo fan, so I showed her some good Gackt-era stuff and went on from there, lol - seemed to do the trick!) She just knows how much I like them, so said "is there anything I can paint for your birthday?" and I told her the MM threesome would be awesome XD So she's using my books/photos/dvd etc as reference ^.^

My sis does take commissions, but is having a break from them at the moment 'cause of all the college work she has. But if she starts taking on commissions again I'll keep you in mind if you do want that Mana and Kozi painting doing still ^.^

Mana and Kozi do seem quite different yeah, but I guess they must have their similarities too to get along so well for so long lol. They seemed pretty genuine friends, ya know?

Your style is like Klaha's? That's so cool - he always looked pretty awesome ^.^

gackt... i dont like his solo stuff much, he was lovely in MM and i think MM songs were one of the best thing he's ever sung
as i'm naturally curious cat ..i had found gackt [who is it? everybody speaks about him. why do they treat him like a god? ] and then i've found out about MM
kozi and mana [see it? people usually write mana and -then- kozi... so i wont!] kozi is pure gemini who are totally different from mana nature. all i want to say: mana can't be such reserved as he shows... ^~ [not psychologist, i'm an astrolog]

klaha is awesome in BoB pv. everyone likes this song a lot... i like it visually, one of the best MM vids. and.. i have a weakness for guys who like cats, sexy ^~
 
I think Gackt's solo stuff was okay for the first few years after MM, but I've pretty much lost interest now. He will always have been best in MM, and that's how I'll always think of him ^.^ (Gackt Era is my favourite <3)

I always imagined Mana to be quite the opposite behind-the-scenes, I've heard so much about what a dominating personality he has, etc - but I like the part we get to see best (quiet, beautiful, polite Mana XD)

Oh, I *LOVE* the Beast of Blood PV - that's my favourite Klaha Era song, it's just so amazing! It really is one of their best videos too. You're right, Klaha does have a great image/style in that PV - they all do! ^.^ I know, I think it's hilarious seeing how freaky Kozi is in particular, and how hardcore he can often look, then you see him cuddling cats all the time XD It's adorable <3
 
i like all eras. ...it depends on my mood. i think mana really is dominating and purposeful you know, women rule the world ^~

have u seen that pic of kozi with half red half bald head and he's holding his cat?? that's absolutely lovely, his cats have to love him otherwise they would run away scared. i wonder.. does he have the cats yet? maybe he's got a ragdoll cat now

My favorite era is Gackt and then Klaha. I didn't really like Tetsu era. I have to agree with this one person on youtube who said he sounded like a cow screeching. Ahhh! Sorry, :sorry: please don't hate me for that comment.

I heard Mana was dominating too. I think he is since he does so much but not in a bad way.

Oh and I changed my avatar if you haven't noticed. I really like this picture!

try to listen to Memoire DX and Sadness, all tetsu-era songs are a bit chaotic rock, in my opinion, and pure energy, great sound and tetsu sings with all his heart. i think his voice fits well MM songs from that time.

i'm listening to gensou rakuen, one of the best KE song!
 
I love Gensou Rakuen! I thought it was a Moi dix Mois song at first because at the time I didn't know that MM played heavy guitar songs like that.
K, I'm listening to Sadness on youtube right now. I just saw your picture of Kozi Crimson! Haha! This is a pretty good song. His bad singing actually sounds perfect with this song.

I've never seen Bara no Konrei! I've seen pieces of it but that's all.

Gensou Rakuen is the best song! I didn't know Kozi sang it. I'm dumb.

I just watched his live collage yesterday! It was great! I like it when he had his hair blonde the best. It looked really good on him, but he looks good with his natural color too.

i've been searching for GR lyric (in engl) and i can't find any. so i'm trying to translate, ha-ha-ha, well, you can imagine what it's about at least. gackt wouldnt sing it.. ever... as he fears ghosts

I want to see Bara no Konrei so bad!! I saw behind the scenes and the making of and now I really really want to see it. It looks so awesome!

I didn't know Gensou Rakuen was about ghosts. You know a lot Crimson!

Sadness is a really beautiful song. Yay me for accepting Tetsu! :cracker:
 
it's not about ghosts actually, it's about ....how to say it, about those deep and mysterious things...behind our minds, our lives. i may be wrong. gensou means illusion and klaha sings something like 'reality and life are sporting with each other' or so.. :sorry: i may be wrong, my japanese is desperately poor [i repeat it, i hope japanese fans wouldnt beat me] and this is what i like. that kind of songs. as i've already said, mana wanted to show gackt... i wont write my wild theories...

I got into MALICE MIZER at a young age, My childhood friend (& her family) moved back to Japan and she and I have always ( since 96) kept in touch.. I would send her Backstreet Boys stuff and she sent me tons of Malice Mizer things. [yes, I was a Backstreet Girl] Even though I was pretty young, I had an attraction to weird things. and my parents freaked out when the saw the stuff Suzume was sending me LOL. but anyways. I really would like them to come back together and put on shows again., I saw Mana in France, I could tell it was him under the hat and sunglasses. [His face is predictable] but I didnt say anything because It's kind of rude to run up to someone for no reason, If it was in the streets of NY then that would've been a different story.
anyways Sweetie YOU HAVE TO SEE "ﾃ･Kﾃ･N窶堙個債･窶氾ｧ" I RECOMMEND IT!!! I have the movie here but If I knew How to do the whole rip and upload thing I would put it online. I really prefer the KLAHA era. The songs and the Lyrics where much more , Beautiful and touching. Everytime I hear "窶昶?吮?堋｢窶敖ｧ窶堙俄?ｹﾂｶ窶堋､ﾋ?､窶堙??｣窶堋ｵ窶堙昶?堙娯?氾問?｢窶? and "ﾂ青ｹ窶堙遺?堙ｩﾂ債 窶ｰi窶ｰ窶懌?堙娯?ｹF窶堙ｨ" I want to cry because the songs are so sad and the way KLAHA sings ..I in my opinion..His voice is better than Gackt's. I personally don't like Gackt because of his lame excuse of why he didn't attend KAMI'S funeral, I mean like it had to be ﾆ池ﾆ鍛ﾆ丹ﾆ男ﾆ停?ｦﾂーﾆ湛 (big news) over there at that time....so there was no excuse. anyways. TETSU is love too. I really liked his hair. My favourite members are Yuﾂ〜ki and Kozi of course. Yuﾂ〜ki was and is brilliant and so is Kozi. A girl on MIXI praised me because In a MALICE MIZER community I said that I loved Yuﾂ〜ki.
I liked Kozi's solo stuff and KLAHA's solo stuff (mainly because I LOVE this man's voice it is so opera-ish) I also have his PRIDE OF MIND / SYSTEMS OF ROMANCE cd ( lol actually Suzume sent that too me too lol)
MALICE MIZER after Madonna, Kagrra, goatbed and many other artist takes up 749810423x a million space on my itunes. It took me a million years to copy their CD'S to my computer. If you want anything just let me know.
ahhhhhhhhh I have so much more to say but I'll save that for another post.
