Malice Mizer

malice mizer was my first japanese band as well!

i really like Klaha's voice and actually i think he is my fave mm singer (altho its hard to say ), but as for the songs... the songs from the Gackt and Tetsu eras i like better than from Klaha era... even tho i luv his voice
i like the songs of Klaha era too, but best for when i am in a certain mood.
 
Yeah I now what you mean. The songs from the Klaha-era are kinda 'de pressing' sometimes. The songs from the Gackt-era more fun, like Brise
 
The gackt era is always more fun and thats what I like about it^^ I have taken up my sheets for regret^^ Going to take some time to learn though^^;;; 4 1/2 pages to go^^
 
hm...I really like all eras the same...depending on my mood.

Gackt's is what I listen to the most though, I consider it the Golden Era of Malice Mizer - just look at Brise live. They seemed happier, in my opinion.

Klaha's is more...well...Kami's dead, Gackt left, and looking back on it, we know it was the last stages of Malice. I still love his voice and the songs (Garnet, Gardenia..c'mon!) though.

Tetsu. Oh my goodness Tetsu. Before-they-were-famous era? I love it too...Kioku to Sora, Seraph, Baroque, and the one song which made me a Tetsu lover (I couldn't stand his voice before then) Speed of Desperate.

So, erm...yeah...in conclusion. I do love them all.

I reminded myself it existed yesterday, after not hearing it for a while...been listening to it nonstop ^_^

From the Tetsu-era, I like Baroque the most I think...it was the first song I heard from that era and it made me happy, in a hyper-active way
 
the first 2 songs that i heard were syunikiss, followed by baroque. i still really really love those 2 songs!!!!!!

i'm learning regret... i started a couple of years ago and had learned 4 out of 6 pages ^^ but then slacking off i lost them so now i am starting again to learn it!

hmmmyeah the Klaha era is kinda 'darker'... in a way thats what i like about it, and i like the darkness in Klaha's voice... but also the classical influence seems stronger somehow, which makes the music more 'intellectual' XD
 
Mana did say that after Gackt they went back to their more gothic roots from Tetsu era with Klaha.

Yeah, in Jihaku Gackt did say that when he first joined MM that he didn't agree with "the gothic world that Mana wanted to create" and he has a very forcful personality so that's prolly why they toned it down abit.

But when Gackt left Mana felt more free to present his "gothic vision" so to speak.

While I love all their stuff i think i prefer Klaha-era more, because i'm into that sorta stuff.

And Gackt is a chauvanistic b astard so.....I find myself less inclined to listen to him.
 

You have to take some things with a grain of salt when it comes to Jihaku though
 
yeah, Jihaku was an interesting read and all, but you can't really trust it much...Gackt O_O

I consider him my truth-challenged, slightly ditzy, Malice prince...with a really, really, really nice voice and ability to pull off costumes.

*ahem*
 
yes! has to have the ability to pull off costumes! cant forget that!
 
All their costumes were made specifically for them, I don't see how they couldn't pull them off.
 
ah..but I know why Gackt REALLY left Malice Mizer

Mana wanted to put him in bright pink shorts. Gackt could not compromise his integrity as an artist, knowing the shorts would clash with his already-decided mauve sweater. Thus, he left the band in a huff.

I know this, because I've seen candid pictures of Klaha prancing around in the shorts...HE can pull them off.

Ok...I'm really sorry about that...I just hit my ankle against a wall *headdesk* *goes to hide*
 


I refuse to believe this until I have PICTORIAL EVIDENCE!

I could never ever ever imagine Klaha in shorts, not even on a hot day. Though I guess I can imagine him in swim trunks, but that's different.
