I'm looking at a side income using a Polaroid.
Need a few suggestions on what style camera I should buy.
I've only seen the 2 styles that most stores offer and they are the mini film style. I am not interest in those.
Also, need a basic photography web site dealing with Polaroid taking pictures.
I noticed on Amazon JP, many American style cameras are NOT available here. That would seem a problem also getting the film I would think.

Can you still get full-size polariods?

In Japan, that is what I want, but I can't seem to find a place that even sells the Polaroids we bought back in the 60's and 70's.

Thanks Johnny, I'll check into it.

I may have an old SX-70 in my junk pile. If I can find it , it's yours.

Instax is probably your best bet, as the film is still commonly available. They sell them with a variety of printed borders too.

What kind of income opportunity is there for polaroid photos, I wonder? If your idea is based on the rarity or nostalgia of original polaroids, Instax wouldn't suit those needs due to their popularity and widespread availability, especially in Japan.

I notice my real old Polaroid photos lose their correct color over the years. Since the film packs contain the battery to run the camera , it would seem like real old film packs could be a problem.

I didn't realize the film packs contain the batteries... I would expect them to be unreliable at best if they're more than a decade old.

Turns out Polaroid is still going, or at least has revived their lineup: Color 600 Film - For Vintage Polaroid Cameras

You can probably find more by searching for "Polaroid 600"

capitalizing on nostalgia wins again!
