"Italian police have found what they say is a "Ten Commandments"-style code of behaviour for Mafia members, at the hideout of a captured Mafia boss.

Prohibitions include frequenting bars and looking at friends' wives, while members are urged to treat their own wives with respect.

The list was found during the arrest of Salvatore Lo Piccolo, the reputed new boss of the Sicilian Mafia.

It is thought to have been drawn up as a "guide to being a good mobster"";

Actually a lot of the "commandmants" are not half-bad and are actually quite morally good IMHO i.e. like "Wives must be treated with respect". But some of them i obviously disagree with.

Well I guess they're trying. I suppose it keeps everyone on the same page, with the same thinking. I wonder what happens if you break a rule, do they like break your thumb, neck, or do you end up with cement slippers sleeping with the fishes!

Probably any one of those! The news anchor on a national new network said, after the story about the mafia 10 commandments, "I didn't see 'Thou shalt not kill'."

If a criminal organisation want's to be succesfull they cannot consequently stick to rules even their own, special situations demand special action.
Liberalism in the choice of appropriate action must be an option for anyone why not for a organisation like the mafia?
