Hello everyone,
I have read your posts with interests and I congratulate many of you for making a move to Japan; for assimilating well while keeping your own roots. I am an expat myself and know it's not always easy!
I met my husband online and moved from my home country to the US (his country) to be with him. That was eight years ago and although the initial adjustments were pretty difficult, I've never regretted the move.
I got frustrated trying to adjust and to adapt and feeling that no one understood. Americans just didn't understand where I was coming from and expats thought I was nuts leaving my country to join a man I'd met online. I pondered about creating my own website for women in a similar situation and finally did it a year ago. My site is called Hummingbird Hearts and is for transplanted ladies who have left their countries to join their partners or significant others with whom they have been in a long distance relationship.
I invite transplanted ladies to contact me. I'm sure your input could be invaluable. My e-mail address is humminghearts at sbcglobal dot net.
I'd also like to ask the moderator of this great site if we could do a link exchange.
Best wishes to you from Texas,
Bluebonn
