Thanks to Kick the Can Crew, I've found that this song, Christmas Eve by Yamashita Tatsuro is a famous classic in Japan. I finally got the original and I was singing along already, the first time I listened to it!
Can anybody help me with the lyrics to this song, please? Preferably the original Japanese... if translations even exist. I would appreciate it a lot!

While not a direct translation, this English version of the song, sung by him, retains the original spirit of the song. Hope you got the Japanese lyrics by now.
