I run a tourist information service called Hong Kong Insiders. I answer tourist questions for free about Hong Kong via WhatsApp / E-mail. Revenue is generated via referral program and affiliate program with travel websites such as Expedia and Bookings.com when someone make a flight or hotel booking through me. Of course not all enquiries are about hotel and flight bookings, which means some questions are non revenue generating. But the good news is, once a connection has been established with the customer in the form of E-mail or WhatsApp, I am able to continue sending them travel related deals from the above 2 travel sites (not limited to Hong Kong) and capture referral income. This is made possible after the good faith generated from answering their tourist questions.

As you can see, the above deals with tourists travelling inbound to Hong Kong. I would now like to set up Japan Insiders (or Tokyo Insiders) so that I can provide tourist advice to people who are interested in travelling to Japan, using a similar revenue model. The problem is, I do not have insider knowledge of Japan like I do with Hong Kong, I wasn't born and raised in Japan. Hence I am writing this post to look for anyone who is intersted to join "Japan Insiders". We can split the profit. I think it might be more difficult to take this model to Japan because there is a lot of information sources available for Japan.

One thing to add, my target audience is people from Hong Kong, people from Hong Kong mainly searches websites in Chinese characters for their trip to Japan. While these Chinese websites are still a decent source of information, they are not as comprehensive as the English ones.

Of course, I am mindful that the communications would probably have to be in English between a Hong Kong person and Japanese person.
