Bouncing Buddhas! What are you going on about? When I said that language don't have rules, I was responding to:
The part nice gaijin-san pointed out is でしょう, not 粋. It must be 粋ですね.
In the sense that there are no 'must bes' in languages. It didn't concern you in any way - you dropped into this thread specifically to say something snarky in highly colloquial Japanese, presumable so as to demonstrate your mastery. I find that annoying and pointless, so I called you a hick/rube.
Saying that grammar is (or should be) descriptive in nature doesn't mean that clueless foreign speakers' utterances are correct. It is jaw-droppingly asinine to pull that out of your rear-end in an attempt to tell an educated native speaker who is taking time out of his day to try to correct your goofy-assed Japanese errors that you are in fact, correct.
You pulled that completely out of your ***. I did no such thing - this is probably because you are not a part of this conversation - it's an A and B conversation - C your way out of it. (yeah, translate that).
Again, I was asking how I would use iki to say that the website was cool, and how that differs from tsu. I find the aesthetics fascinating. My degree is in classical Japanese poetry. I used to have a huge goldfish tank - the fish were named Hitomaro, Lady Murasaki, Empress Jemmu and Kobo Daishi. They got imported Japanese goldfish food - hugely spoiled. I gave the tank to a lady with chronic fatigue syndrome, to put in her workroom, and to help with her ki.
