"Look at life cold" in kanji

I wish I could say this was the strangest kanji tattoo request I've seen here.

You are taking an ENGLISH poem (and you didn't even know who wrote it) and asking strangers on the internet to translate part of it, not even a complete line, for your tattoo into a language you don't understand. And now you're just asking more strangers to confirm this translation. And why? Because kanji tattoos are "in fashion?!#@!?" Your excerpt actually changes the original meaning and then changes, even more, when you translate it into a foreign language.

Sorry for being blunt, but are you aware of how STUPID this all sounds? Not that this stranger's opinion makes any difference, so enjoy your ridiculous tattoo.
 
Esta bien la separacion que propones pero si puedes seria mejor que lo pongas en vertical, ya que en el japones tradicional, o sea, en plan bonito, se escribe en vertical y de derecha a izquierda.
Quedaria asi:

向 冷
け た
よ い
生 目
に を

As a part of poem, it is OK, but if you want to take only the part you want, you should change the word order.
生に冷たい目を向けよ
Otherwise people who understand Japanese would think you got it wrong (grammatically).

But mind you, even people who understand Japanese would have no clue what your tattoo is about. 生 in the original translation can be easily understood as "life" because it is used along with 死 (death), but on its own 生 also could men "raw" or "draft" (as beer)...

You really have no deeper reason for doing this than "everybody else is doing it"? I'd be ashamed to admit something like that.

Nice of you to revert to a language you thought I wouldn't understand. If I had responded in kind, I could just use the language you intend to print on your skin.
 

Then we could change the word order again and get:

冷たい生に目を向けよ

Now that would be a tattoo worth having!

Actually I thought you could use authomatic translators, dictionaries, latin friends, etc...

I don't care at all if you understood or not what I said.
I just wrote in Spanish to communicate easier with him.
By the way, being a "Kamisama" doesn't give you the right to address people that way. Don't you think so?

Ah, that じ. Well, that explains why it was in hiragana. I got it now, and it's pretty much where I thought it was -- I just have a more accurate picture now.

There you go, all done. I'd say it translates in one form or another to "Life is Cold." Have fun with the tattoo.
