My first thought when I read this was if I didn't notice the note before I entered the car, I wouldn't notice if after I got in and leftツ…
Alternatively, if I did notice somebody going to the trouble of taping it to the car's rear window, I would have driven with him on there, or plowed into him, since if I didn't notice the note, so why would I notice him? Either way, he'd loseツ…LOL

Something to think about!

Be Aware Of New Car-Jacking Scheme.

Here's How It Works:

You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside. Then
You lock all your doors, start the engine and shift into REVERSE, and you
look into the rearview mirror to back out of your parking space and you
notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window.

So, you shift into PARK, unlock your doors and jump out of your car to
remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view.

When you reach the back of your car, that is when the carjackers appear
out of nowhere, jumps into your car and take off! Your engine was running,
(ladies would have their purse in the car) and they practically mow you
down as they speed off in your car.

BE AWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.

Just drive away and remove the paper that is stuck to your window later,
and be thankful that you read this email.

I hope you will forward this to friends and family .
. . especially to women! A purse contains all identification, and you
certainly do NOT want someone getting your home address. They already
HAVE your keys!

I'll give them this; It's certainly more inventive than kicking your teeth in...

You know what den4?
I think we can write a script with them playing the villains, and you playing Mr. Bean, and sell it to one of those funny film makers in Britain. It has just the right balance of the stupidly evil and the cruelly hilarious.
Let's check with the source, and find a way to copyright it first! :D

:D

I was giving the robbers credit where it is due. They thought of a non-violent solution to car-thieft.

Like;
"They may have stolen my car, but hey, at least I still have my crown jewels intact..."

Hey, thanks...I think I understand what you mean... 👍

I have an idea. It might be interesting to have a poll on whther they keep the engine running for a quick job on the rear window.

Excuse me a moment, JustJosh!
Hey, Den4, what do you think as the originator of this thread?
I think it IS a problematic habit for at least some ppl. Do you want to find out? It also destroys the environment if the engine's turned on for more than 3 mins. I think, if anybody seriously tried it on my wife, she might fall for it. I'm serious.

Urban Legend?

Sooooooo, am I correct in assuming that we all agree that this is actually a steaming pile of horse-hockey?

As well-meaning as these kinds of warnings might be and as plausible as they are meant to sound, I myself never take them seriously. Of course, one day there will come some scheme to rip off my car that I will not take seriously and my brand new 40K super J-car will be gone like a virgin on prom night! Aaarrrgh!

There he goes again....asking me to think...you know that isn't going to happen.....as punishment, you will have to now get these files and listen to each and every one of them until the gray matter dissipates along with the beer... :D
