Hi

So I'm planning to leave for Osaka soon, and I'd like to know if anyone here has any suggestions. How should I go about looking for cheap housing? Do you recomend staying in a hostel? Any suggestions about looking for work while I'm there (I'll be on a working holiday visa).

Thanks,

z.

about work, have a look in the Kansai time out magazine, or the kansai scene... here are the links of there homepages...

you can find this magazines in some book stores, or english centras

www.kansaiscene.com
www.kto.co.jp/

btw, you will start your working holiday in osaka, or you have been to other places already... ?

Hi

Further questions: Does anyone here know anything about Banana House?

z.

I stayed at Melon House, the "sister house" of Banana and Orange Houses.
I dont know if info about Melon helps, but here you go anyway:
It was modest, but ok, had a tv, air conditioner, 2 rooms, kitchen etc. And the manager was really nice. Really close to to subway stations, shops and entertainment, yet a peaceful place. No complaints!
Depends of course on your demands..
