デキタ!

今日、アパートに帰ったところにメールを見ればYamasaからの連絡がありました。

Thank you for waiting. I'm pleased to inform you that your application for the student visa for April 2007 admissions has passed our screening process and is approved. At the moment our visa specialists are preparing the documentation for the Immigration Bureau (application for the student visa). We have carefully checked your documents and are confident that the visa will be approved. The Immigration Bureau will issue the visa towards end February/early March.

だって!

入学デキタ!4月来日!

\(^-^)/ バンザイ!バンザイ!バンザイ! \(^-^)/

👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

Just a little background:

I applied last April, and got accepted, but due to personal circumstances I don't want to go into, I had to cancel my going very late in the process. This caused Yamasa some trouble, and unfortunately caused my visa slot to be taken, but not usable by anyone (meaning that someone else lost the chance to go because of me).

I was very sorry about this, but Yamasa was very nice to me and allowed me to apply again this April and accepted me a second time.

I'm going back in April and really, really looking forward to studying Japanese again (I've lived in Japan for 2 years previously and have previously passed JLPT level 2). My goal in the coming year is to pass JLPT level 1 and then apply to a grad program at Kyoto University. If that fails, I'll either get a job somewhere in Japan or go back to California - it's all good; I like all these options.

Anyway... there's no real reason for me to post this - I'm just happy to be going back to Japan!

Congratulations!

I hear lots of good things about Yamasa. I hope you find your time there very fruitful and fulfilling!

Yeah. That will put me in your neck of the woods, won't it?

I'm just hoping I can get over to Nagoya periodically - if I don't get to the city occasionally, I go crazy. :p

Luckily for you, Yamasa is located close to the JR line. Okazaki 's not a bad place, although as a city, it's a little spread out for my tastes. What about the city do you like? Most of the things you can find in Nagoya can be found either in Okazaki or nearby, you know!

The biggest reason is that I have friends there, and there's a few places that I enjoy in the city for various reasons (mostly around 窶督シ窶ーw and 窶ーh).
I just have to get out, occasionally! :p

thank you Nall-okhi! Ahhh i see it is a Language School no? if so then it seems to be of great caliber.. good luck there and congrats!

Congratulations, I tried a scholarship thing once, didnt get it, devestated me, nearly made me give up on japan entirely. 😌

Enjoy it!. 🙂

Ditto

Me too! I got the same email back in December. I'm building up my strength now for 6 months on the Acceleration course then at least 6 months on the AIJP.

Congratulations to us both! 👍

I too passed JLPT Level 2!
Good luck with your works. I am soon going for my JLPT Level 1.

I wonder if those things are often won by Nikkeijin who are eligible because they don't have Japanese nationality! How about if they are Issei and chose a foreign nationality. Now wouldn't that suck or what?
