I know a little Hiragana, and want to learn the entire alphabet before moving on to Katakana. When I started learning Hiragana, I learned by grouping words with the same vowel at the end together and studied them for a week as a whole. This meant I would study the symbols for ya, ka, ma, sa, ga, etc as a whole. I was wondering if it might be better to, instead, study them as groups with a similar first consonant. So, instead of learning *a group, I would be learning k* group. No ya, ka, ma, sa, ga, etc, but rather learn the 'k*' group: ka, ki, ko, ku, etc. It might be personal preference, but which would you say is less demanding?
