Does anybody know a book on Korean history that isn't all war and America please.

I want a book about Korean history and culture i have looked but i don't seem to be able to find one

A History of Japan: From Stone Age to Superpower is a good overview of Japanese history. Also, the book that you can buy it together with, Japanese Culture, is a good book on the history as well as the development of the arts of Japan.

"Korea : Its History and Culture" by Chris Wright is very accessible, informative....and targeted at a wide audience if that's what you're looking for.
