Hello all, I'm an English guy who spent a fantastic year living in Shimizu in Shizuoka Prefecture as an English teacher.
The warmth of the people I knew there was incredible, and has made me even more of a Japan fanatic than I was before. I try my hardest to study Japanese still, and also follow the mighty (!) Shimizu S-Pulse from afar.
I also follow the Japanese national team, the Blue Samurai , and will be hoping they have a good World Cup this year (unless they play England of course).
Oh, and my username Hideo is because that is the usual Japanese reading of the kanji I used for my name (hanko stamps and so on) in Japan, 窶ｰp窶冕 which could also be read as Ei-Dan...which is my name - Aidan. Conveniently it also means English man, and I'm told it can mean brilliant man, but that's purely a coincidence!
