Hi, my name's Sian, or known as Llanarth

I lived and taught in Japan (JET programme) for 3 years and have a deep love of many things Japanese. But my two main interests are:taiko and Kanji.

So if you have any questions on the following, I'll be happy to participate in any discussion.

I also am involved in the websiteJiShop kanji dictionary So if you're interested in learning Japanese, there's an interesting article on the website about memorising kanji (click on mnemonics). And a nice dictionary to download! Kanji are difficult to learn, right!

So greetings to everyone!

*Ahem* That 窶堋、 should be a 窶堋キ. You're kind of close to saying something different from what you mean.

Thank you for all your welcome messages. I will check the notice board, I will check out the boards from time to time and join in the discussions. There are some interesting discussions going on. But also a lot of negativity about 'racism'.

It's difficult to really understand Japanese culture, or understand some Japanese viewpoints no matter how long we live there, coz in the end the culture is built on a different history and philosophy from 'Western ideas'.

Ah!. I've just the kanji 'nothingness' I used to paint that one! A nice kanji!
