SECOND PART -- STORIES OF UNFORTUNATE IN LIFE (EPISODE 9 : CARING)

It has been hot weather for these days, and it had make a person like me who don't like to go out become more reluctant to step out. Moreover, with such rare and troublesome character of mine, it's easy for me to incur bad luck, bad thing happened even when I'm buying food, just as the saying goes "Sun will always shine after the storm", so, maybe I'll become slimmer by doing nothing at all. But, I can't be not eating at all. Thus, at 2 o'clock in the middle of such silent night, with only my wallet I went out unwillingly. Now that I'm thinking, "Convenient store" is really serviceable. Most daily supplies can be obtain there, something important and to be happy about is, it operates 24 hours daily. There are about 3 convenient stores near my place; every store is selling different type of stuff. However, I'm not choosing the store by considering the type of stuff they are selling. Yes, by distance instead. Thus, I'd went to the nearest store. I had been doing this all the while, but, next time, I will certainly go to another store that is a little bit far away….
As usual, I was in the state of vexation in front of my Computer. I had finished my job, surfing on various website without any purpose, why were I in vexation? I was thinking if I should go to the convenient store. It had passed 3am in the morning, if I lay on bed reading book that I haven't finished with the weak light's luminous, I should be able to welcome the morning. Still, I have to eat something before sleep, in vexation due to such meaningless matter. Thinking of which, I haven't been eating for the whole day except for coffee. After consideration, I ended up open my house door, dragging myself to the convenient store with only my wallet and without changing my cloth.

Though it should be a lonesome silent 3am in the morning, cicada's shrill keep filling my ears. The cicada try to say something by creating such a loud shrill before the end of it's brief life span? I was thinking while I'm walking and it was like suddenly, the light of the convenient store appears right in front of me, it is the convenient store that I always visit.
When the symmetry glass door of the convenient store about to open, somehow, I noticed that the atmosphere are unusual. Unconsciously, I looked at the 2 storekeepers who stood behind the cashier counter. That guy got his hair dye into dark brown color, is he trying to draw someone attention? His hair is gel and styled, just like the look of the male host in the poster at *Shinjuku Kabukicho. While the female store keeper with perm wavy long hair that can outshine the character in *"The Rose Of Versailles", is playing her hair with her finger.
*あれ? It looks like they are the new staff here, I become worry for the 2 staff that I met for very first time "Is it alright for a girl to work in such late night?" Anyway, regardless of what I'm thinking now, they seem to ignore my existence. They didn't greet me welcome or good evening.

Though I'm frustrated, I got to present a mature presentation here. Hmm.. Maybe they are still young. With smile, I walked to the *Onigiri and Sandwich section (food section which is). During this, the 2 storekeepers kept talking to each other. But they finally stop their conversation when I bring the hot dog and black coffee to the cashier counter. The process of taking the food and beverage from me and scanning of the bar code are done silently. When he's about to put the food into the plastic carrier, I'd voiced up "You should greet or say something when the customer is standing right in front of you". Still, I tolerated this even I was about to get angry. "Excuse me……Do you mind reheat this for me?"
'Hmm….Forget about it, they must be still young in the society, hate to be forced to accept those so-called morale ethic. Angry impulse is devilish….. Angry impulse is devilish….. Angry impulse is devilish…..' When I was doing my best to calm myself, unexpectedly, with the sound of "BOOOM!!" it exploded right in front of me. It looks like the hot dog that just went into the micro oven had exploded…This happened due to the store keeper who didn't open the wrapper before putting it into oven, the air in the wrapper expand due to the heat and cause the explosion. I was voiceless, waiting for the storekeeper to react, but his response really annoyed me. Swiftly he said "Not good! This is really not good!!" He opened the oven and panicky looked into it. The female storekeeper act like none of her business, yawning, and at the same time looking at us. In the next second, it really looked like he didn't know what to do, so, pretend like nothing happened, he gave me an assay stare. During that period of time, he didn't even apologize. But suddenly, he finally thinks of something, with his thumb and index finger, he took out the softened hot dog and observed it right in front of me. This is really a world's amazing action. Then, like throwing garbage, he threw the hot dog into the plastic carrier, which the black coffee is in it. Unknowing why, he put the plastic carrier into another plastic carrier and handed it to me.
At that moment, I felt more than angry, I felt pity on myself, with such uncomfortable feeling, I took the carrier and was about to leave. Somehow, I didn't hear it wrongly. Behind my back, I heard the sound of *"チッ"……

Thinking of which, it must be the way he tried to show his caring, one layer of carrier might be too hot for me to carry, so he put it into another layer of carrier.
With the meaningless feeling of pity and anger, now I'm in vexation again….
Go out? Or go to bed?
