Hey guys, I'm curious to know what does it take to join the Japanese Military?

I'm sure many are asking "Why would you wanna join the Japanese Military"? Well, the short answer is "Because I don't wanna sit on my butt all day playing video games and going to work, I would like to have some spice in my life".

The long answer is that "Since I've been to and from Japan. Japanese people have been VERY sweet to me, they treated me like a friend, like a brother, and treated me like I was a fellow Japanese person, they have treated me alot better then my entire time in America. I wanna help...

Basic requirements:

1. Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
2. Be of good character.
3. Not be bonded.
4. Not be married.
5. Not be less than 18 years and not more than 26 years by 31 March 2025.
6. Be medically fit by Ghana Armed Forces standard.
7. Must pass the Pre Joining Fitness Test.
8. Be of minimum height of 1.68m (5'6") for males and 1.60m (5'4") for females. For Military Police only; the minimum height for male applicants should be 1.75m (5'9") and 1.70m (5' 7") for females.
9. Must have the following:
   1. BECE. Six (6) Passes at BECE including English and Mathematics.
   2. WASSCE. Six (6) Credits (not less than C6 ) including Core English, Core Mathematics. and Science.
   3. OR
   4. SSSCE. Six (6) Credits (not less than D ) including Core English and Core Mathematics.
   5. OR
   6. GCE 'O' & 'A' Levels. Five (5) Credits (not less than 6) including English and Mathematics at GCE 'O' Level and not less than D in three subjects and General Paper at GCE 'A' Level.

Good character? Not be bonded? (What does that even mean?) Not married? Looks like I'll never be able to join the Ghanaian army.

Anyhow, I assumed @kwasi kwakye intended to join the JSDF.

What DOES matter when joining the Legion

• to be a man between 17.5 and 39.5 years – read more here:
  Age limits for joining the French Foreign Legion
• to have a valid ID(identity document)
  • ID Card or Passport for recruits from the European Union (EU)
  • Passport for recruits from all over the world
• to have a verified copy of your birth certificate (translated into English or French)
  – the verified copy cannot be older than 6 months while enlisting
  – you are allowed to enlist in the Legion without the certificate as well, nonetheless, the document will facilitate your engagement
• to be NOT wanted by Interpol (murders, drug trafficking, or other really serious crimes are NOT tolerated…)
• to be physically fit to serve anywhere in the world and in any season (heat, cold), for at least 5 years
• to be able to write and read in your native language

What army are you talking about? There are hundreds of armies, Thomas thought you wanted to join the Japanese army, and another the Ghanan army,

If I could join the Japanese military and get to live in Japan and have all expenses paid , It would be tempting. By the time I learned to read , write and speak Japanese , I would be too old to join though.
