Does anyone know any old traditional Japanese children's stories/ghost stories/folk tales?
I know there are a lot of pretty strange, old stories in Japanese culture.

That's exactly what I was thinking of but couldn't find. I know about some of the popular ones like Peach boy (momotaro) and Urashima but I am trying to find more unusual ones and some of these seem perfect. Thanks! It's a really cute website. :haihai: :haihai:

I am off studying at the library right now and won't return home until sometime tomorrow afternoon . . . and be back online tomorrow night. But . . .

I have this book that is a great collection of old Japanese folktales. If you keep on me about it (PM's, e-mails, etc.), I promise to get the book information to you.

I had Momotaro the Peachboy for my English class!

There is actually a DVD entitled "Kwaidan" that contains four shorts based on traditional Japanese folk tales. I found them very enjoyable myself.
