Japanese Culture Quiz

10-8-9, counting guesses as being wrong.

I got a perfect score on the first two steps :win: and only a 4 on the last one. :(

9-6-5

I guess I forgot some things since my report in high school. :D

What score do you get ?

I got 8 points of the frist 2, and 5 points of the 3rd step [:o]

Let's see if you really can learn everything you need to about Japan from anime ... :p

First 10/10. What is this, the "Japanese Culture Quiz for Americans?" I've seen harder questions on the backs of cereal packets.

Second 8/10 OK they're starting to expect me to remember historical stuff. :boo hiss: That's like expecting Mike to know that William the Conquerer used to be called William the Bastard. :D

Third 8/10 Hey! Since when was 平成 spelt 'hesei' ? :D
... not that it matters because I answered 明治 anyway ... Man I really ought to catch up with the times 😌

Close enough. Actually I shouldn't make that much fun of the Normans 'cuz my family tree's been tracked back about that far and 'we' came over to England a few years after the fighting was over.

first 10/10
second 9/10
final 9/10

I'm Japanese, but I've never known this:Which is the lucky number in Japan, 4, 6 or 8 ? :sorry:

This test was posted before. Here are the results from the first one:

A Quiz on Japan for Beginners

And I got 10 out of 10 on every part. This test was a little...no...way too easy. Or I've just been around Japanese too long. Yeah, I think that's it...

It's just another example of how very little is expected of us.

I remember signing up for the "Advanced Reading" class at the Kiryu Library and being shocked to find that the material for the first couple of classes was a Japanese 1st grade elementary school 国語 textbook.

They handed out all the materials for the course at the first meeting, and believe me, it didn't get a heck of a lot better.

I just guessd on the number thing--I knew it wasn't 4, and between 6 and 8, well--one just seemed better than the other...

I learnt all my answers from anime.... Pita Ten and DN Angel are good for that last stage :D

And Azumanga Dioh for the luckly number question :D

Considering I know hard anything about Japan, I am amazed at my scores, even though they are pretty low. I got 9-5-4. I guess some info. from this forum must have rubbed off somewhere along the line! :p

Japanese shouldn't take this...

oh...Japanese should not take this...it's too easy for us. :p

Thanks for proving my point, openup.

10-10-7

Thanks to thereisnospoon's sig and a keen memory for the answer to number 10 in the Sennin Course!
