Japan Photos 2024

Hiding "behind" one of the posts here:

This an interesting bookstore, if they'd only clean up a little out front...

Here are some pictures of the deer in Nara Park.

On the path to Todai-ji

A small creek that you cross over on the way to Todai-ji

Walking back towards Nara City from the temple, these deer felt the need to cool down. It was hot and humid, heat index of 104F.

This little deer, a baby, got off the road just before the light changed and the cars started zooming by.

It's been a while--a variety pack:

I happened to turn around there where I was looking for flowers, and this was there.

A lily, pre-bloom

The ceiling of that nashi shop, swallow nests, x5 -- partial one half behind the curtain.

At a shrine.

Just along a road somewhere.

Here's a liquor shop. Nothing too remarkable (apart from a big poster of my favorite beer in the window!). It's on a very narrow, one-way street, with a very neighborhood-y look to it. And the inside surprised with the Pooh collection. Maybe not too many Chinese customers anyway...

I didn't get an interior of this next place, but will go back sometime to try. Definitely an old building, the obvious structural characteristics of that.

Driving to a small out of town photo exhibit, I keep my eyes open for anything interesting. Here's a garage/storage area, views left, center, and right. These are phone shots, which are nice as a notebook/scratchpad since they give location data--if I I want to go back to try again, I know where to go. The first one I really like the laundry hanger with two upright hands, which I didn't notice till I looked at the shot later.

These are a strong contrast with the above shots by イェンス --one might wonder if it was in the same country!
