Japan Hospital Room?

My home has the same "industrial" baseboards. Ahem!
I don't know of anyone who has brought such bedding to any hospital setting.
The floor is not "decorative". For the practicality of cleaning and the appearance of cleanliness, white linoleum or tile is the norm in hospitals.
Spartan walls are common even in many homes.
The only really weird thing to me is the curtains. Hard to judge what material they are, but to have them on adjoining walls seems odd.
Can you show other pics, or are we forced to speculate forever here? Who took them, by the way? Perhaps the photographer could help us out more than our creative thinking.

Other points:
1. Not a hospital bed
2. No nurse call button or standard oxygen fittings
3. No hospital would push a bed against a wall like that.
4. Phones in hospital rooms are rare, typically only in private rooms (also rare).
5. Any hospital with private rooms and a phone would have hired the installation done and no professional would leave the wire just hanging down the wall like that.
6. Pink toilet paper in a hospital seems unlikely. Just sitting on the floor like that, doubly so.

Considering the fact that my wife and I own a private hospital, that room looks like an apartment.
