This is their Japanese face. They are a legitimate company but have a bad reputation. Not that they are scammers but I think if you look at their websites carefully and read the online comments you could reach the conclusion that their offer is both risky and exploitative. See here as well:

unless I'm north korean who's trying to run away from a dictator,I should consider it carefully,correct?
Well,I have been job hunting for 3 years,have degree and 3-4 years ago,my country was being coup d'etat and running by military party and dictator and kill everyone that do not agree so ...I guess I should?

Is a 財団法人 a company?

Is it just me, or does there seem to be no connection between the name and their activities?

It's 社団法人, not 財団法人. It's almost the same as "company" in general.
