Is The Giant Screen At The Q-Front Bldg. At Shibuya Crossing Gone?

A month ago, I blogged about a contest for people to have their message shown on one of the giant screens at Shibuya Crossing.

Someone responded saying at the biggest one on the Q-Front Building is gone. Can anyone confirm this?

Hi Armand,

this is a picture of the Q-Front building taken this morning. The large screen has definitely been removed, and it doesn't look like a temporary measure to me, given that the first reports on the internet surfaced last summer:

The ad agency running the screen at the Q-Front Bldg. announced in October 2012 that they will stop airing ads as of January 2013. Instead of the screen they will offer "visual sheets" (Q's Wall + Q'sEYE) as displayed on the photo.

We may have jumped the gun on this. Someone posted a comment at my blog that a smaller monitor screen is to be installed and ready to go by August 1. We shall see...maybe.

Yes, that seems to be correct. Their latest update is from May 9, 2013:
