This article in the Japan Times talks about the enduring popularity of Kimura Takuya and calls him "the most sought-after TV actor in Japan."

P.S No offence to Kimutaku but I've always thought he looked a bit like a squirrel.

if the only sole basis for Kimura Takuya's diminishing popularity are his drama ratings, well i think people should check out the ratings of the other doramas not starred by Kimura Takuya - its downright pitiful in my opinion. the lowest rating of a Kimura Takuya dorama is no less than 21% and today's dramas get only half of that more or less...
if a squirrel could be that popular and earn that much, pity on us who are far better looking but who will never even be half as popular nor as wealthy as he is in this lifetime eh?
