Is Kaiyo Co. Ltd. legitimate?

Hello all, I too need help here to check if a business is legitimate in Japan.

Kaiyo representative given email: giacomoelia81@gmail.com

Person says they are distributor for Brompton products in Japan. Example include Joseph Kuosac product. They say they have no physical shop.

I tried googling but Kaiyo seems to be a Myanmar company, and it doesn't sell any Brompton Products.

I then search Joseph Kuosac website to see if any mention of Kaiyo as their distributor, but none at all. However it may be possible that they only list retail shops, not the distributor/middleman.

I also search the address but it appears to be residential. I find it strange that a distributor would have no warehouse to store their goods however if its a small company it is possible to be a home business?

I then ask for DUN number and they gave me "Chamber commerce registration: 234240" Buy I could not find it on the DUN page.

So I ask if they have a company website I can refer to and they gave me a new company registration number "0500-01-043281"

I am really lost. Appreciate any help here. Thank you.

Who is the person that gave you this company info? Have you contacted Brompton and Kuosac and inquired who their official distributors were?

The 全国企業データベース has no entry on any "Kaiyo Co., Ltd." Besides, I find it very dubious when company representatives use Gmail addresses.

Thanks I saw this LinkedIn too. Seems he was with each Brompton job less than a year. Quite the job hopper.
