Help with Japanese Report

I finally found a way to post a new thread. Whew! I've been working on this report for school, and luckily I got Japan. I've been searching the web, but it has not given me exactly what I'm looking for. If someone could help me please and answer my questions I would be so grateful!

Don't you already have a thread about your report? Why don't you try asking a question instead of just asking for help? We still have no idea what your report is supposed to be about, other than "Japan."

arrgh... sorry. Actually, it was in someone else's post, and thats just what's its about. I am supposed to know about everything, mostly economical stuff, though. Geography, current events, (Which I cant find anything on), economy, people/language, and history. And it has to be complete with pictures, and my sources.

any online news source would clue you into current events. Check an encyclopedia for general information. There is a wealth of books, articles, reports, and academic papers about Japan, I find it hard to believe that you couldn't find any of it on your own.

oh yeah... that makes sense. I've looked on J-ref, and some of it has been helpful. But most of it I found on wikipedia, so that helped as well. I think I've almost found enough. I'll search for some more websites.

actually, so far the only current events I found was something that had to do with the Japan law about not letting females into the succession of the throne. I'm using that in my report. But I need more than one. I searched for. "Japan current events," And anything but current events in Japan show up.

Try a search for "Japan trends" for cultural stuff, and see Asahi Shinbun and the Japan Times site for more serious matters.

Is this a report for middle/high school/college?

That would help in directing you to what resources to use, and how detailed you want to make your report.

I agree, just check a few of the newspapers. Once you find one story that interests you, do further searches. How long should this paper be? Sounds like a very broad topic. If this is a very basic paper, then it will be very easy.

thanks everyone. I don't know about how long it specifically has to be, though. But I have to have at least three paragraphs for each heading. And I listed them earlier, I think, but here they are again.

Some of them were easy enough to find, such as geography. Where it's located, population, etc. Others, such as contributions aren't that easy.
Does anyone know where I could find a list of Japanese Actors/acctresses? I only know of one off the top of my head, and I can't find any others that were in movies that were in the US. That's basically all I need, because I found an encyclopedia just today that had a lot of info. once again, arigatoo.
