Ignore List

I wish to add a member to my "Ignore List" (I take a dim view of people who are crassly dishonest). That person has a kanji member name. When I paste the member name into the "Add a member to your list" and click on "Okay", I get an error message saying that the name is not in the database. That is not true. Doesn't this function work with kanji member names?

Keyboard problems sometimes.

Some members join with keyboard characters not even on my keyboard? The other day two members joined from the UAE and used Arabic? characters which are not on my keyboard? What would I do if I wanted to add them to the ignore list? Maybe there is a way around the problem someone can help us with?

Indeed, there appear to be problems ignoring users with foreign characters. I'll look into the issue.

If you click on their user name in one of their posts, you get to their profile. In there you have, just below the user name, two menu items, "send message" and "user lists". Click on user lists and then you can add them to your friends list or ignore list, without having to type the user name. Should work with kanji names.

Nanook: Thank you very much. That seems to have worked. May I suggest that the section on Ignore List in the Help section be changed? It is not clear and does not describe the process you described.
