Hi everyone,
My name is Margaux and I'm an MBA student. I need your help. To finish my studies, I have to write a thesis and of course my subject is about Japan, more specifically, the integration of foreign workers in Japanese companies.
The aim of this work is to spot the cultural differences of foreign workers & Japanese, to find out how they affect the teamwork and employees and how to get an successful collaboration despite those differences.
For this reason I need your help. If you are working or have ever worked in Japan, could you please answer this survey?
HERE
Forums are the only way for me to contact people with a working experience in Japan. I want my thesis to be the closest to reality so your experience matters a lot. Please help me by sharing your experience.
Thank you in advance for you help.

I would be very interested in knowing the results of this study. I suspect a great deal of foreigners have had many challenges integrating into Japanese companies. There's a somewhat famous article written on this by a well-respected businessmen in Japan entitled "Why Surviving a Japanese Company is Tough".

Thanks for the article. I'm going to check it immediately. :)

You are not the first one asking for the results so I'll publish them online when the study will be complete.

Right now I'm still lacking of people for this survey to be significant but as soon as I have enough participants, I will publish the results on this thread.

Please find the results (the graphs) of the study you answered some time ago.

Thank you for following up and posting the results.

Interesting that `Different decision making process` was the difficulty encountered the most.
