Because its not the first post ive seen it on and i found it annoying that people do it especially when they dont contribute to the thread while doing so. next time ill be sure to get permission though ^-^

Well, in this thread, it isn't "people"....it was one person, and he followed the internet tradition of being unable to avoid making an English error himself while correcting someone else's.
If you still feel a need to chastise over it, have the balls to directly chastise the one offending party instead of giving a general broadbrushed indictment of all disguised as a blandishment.
Anyone wishing to avoid being looked down upon for their English composition skills would do well to take a lesson from the Hallmark Card folks who admonish us to, "Care enough to send the very best." It shows a disregard for one's audience to not at least make one's best effort. And there will always be people who will form opinions of posters who don't care enough to send their very best, lowering those opinions accordingly.

I know I'm jumping in here late, but...
Interviews are about 80% presentation, 20% content. The job is similar. Most of what you're going to do you're going to have to be trained on anyway. For an IT job the OP would be looking for, communication skills are going to be an important factor. Hopefully he can speak better than he can write (as has been stated). There are plenty of ex-military guys in cushy IT positions around town. Of course they had to work to get there, but getting in the door doesn't seem to be that much of a challenge.
Depends on the field. Most entry level positions require little if any experience (hence, entry level), but one trend is they want people w/ at least proficient Japanese, if not crackin'. My first two IT jobs required no experience, only knowledge, Japanese ability, and a brain. I had no formal IT training or education either. Out of about 10 or so serious job interviews, I was only once asked about my grades, and that was just a "I assume your grades were pretty good".

for the love of god there are some characters on these forums but i thank you all for your advice and english LIT advice as well i cant wait to go to iraq less headaches less to worry about sadly enought o say war is less of a stress on my life than my marriage lol
