Hi there,
Was hoping to get some help understanding this particular phrase. Context is: Someone is impressed the person they've met exceeds their expectation (is taller than expected)

He goes: "だれひとりとして標準がいない"

What would the translation of that be in this case?

標準 means "standard (body height)" there.

Notice that the verb is いない, i.e., the subject is animate. Thus, 標準 refers to 標準的な(身長の)人.

There is no standard/average/regular height guy. / None of them is a standard/average/regular height guy.
