Extreme temperatures seem to be occurring more frequently in Japan and to me it looks like Japanese people don't know how to dress appropriately! Climate change in action no doubt and there are still those who refuse to believe it's anthropogenic! It's a roasting 22 Celsius here in Devon, UK!

Cold foods/liquids everyone and not hot food! Keep cool

Layers and dark colours. You'd generally layer up for cold weather as the trapped air acts as an insulator. I'm sure Japanese businesses only allow the top button to be undone or something equally old fashioned.

Humidity makes a big difference, doesn't it? I was once in 28 C, dry heat in Italy and it was perfectly tolerable despite walking around in it.

I'm commuting by bicycle, and today the heat was taxing.

Do they provide shower facilities at your place of work for cyclists?

Just a ウォシュレット and wet wipes. But I can park my bike on the premises, which is definitely an advantage in Shibuya.
