Hiroyuki Nagashima かのじょです.
Hiroyuki Nagashima is my friend.
(I dont think I said it write in japanese)

Anyway, Ive known Hiroyuki Nagashima for awhile. He likes to read anime, and he's a good friend of mine. He does not play with a Playstation portable, or a nintendo DS, but he is still cool. Hiroyuki-san does not read english well (I cannot say he speaks it well either, I do not know. I have not seen him or heard in real life. Since we live across the world from each other) He relys on a translater to speak english. It is hard to communicate sometimes, because sometimes his translater messes up. Recently I said "Long time no see Hiroyuki-san, how do you do?" in japanese to him, and he replied in japanese back! Ahh, my friend Hiroyuki-san, you know more english than I know japanese ! So here I am, back on the forums, needful of help of others.

Here is what my friend Hiroyuki-san said:

Wow, you sure know your kanji!
Here's what I can make out. (Japanese language)(I am also good) The rest I dont understand. I have a lot of learning to do

Right now the temperature is climbing, please listen.

He's basically saying the early summer in Fukuoka is better (drier) than usual although his dog is already exhausted by the heat and may run North when the real summer arrives. Did you understand ?

Uhm Yeah you just said basically that Hiroyuki is a she.
かのじょ = 彼女 = She

もし、このは正しいです。 私はごめんなさい。 :sorry:
でも ひろゆきさんは男と思った? :?
面白い。

Do you actually look up the words in a dictionary? Like Jim Breen's wwwjdic WWWJDIC: Word Search

It doesn't say "nihongo" which would mean japanese language and if you think 私は、とっても元気です。 means "I am also good" you might be a little confused. とっても means very. So he is saying that he is very well(or good).

The "please listen" isn't far off but I don't know where you got temperature, climbing, or right now. "wakaranai" is "to not understand" so "wakaranai koto" is "not understanding". "attara" is a form of "aru" meaning "if there is". I looked at some examples of kiku(using wwwjdic) that had "kitte kudasai" and found that in that case, it means "ask". So the line means "If there is anything(something) you don't understand, please ask."

Jim Breen is my hero. He should be yours, too.

This is where he got the Japanese language part.

This is basically saying "Are you able to understand although I wrote a lot and in japanese."

ながなが=長長 OR 長々 = Long/tedious

りかい = 理解 = Understanding

I can only pick out bits and pieces myself as grammar is my weakest point. So a lot of set phrases confuse me especially when combined with verb and noun modifiers it gets even more confusing.
