Tourism Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum to sell tickets online

[...] the city government outlined a plan to launch online ticket sales in February 2024 for admission in March that year or later. Furthermore, the museum will open one hour earlier and close one hour later than its current operation hours, which vary by season. Additionally, the city revealed that it is considering putting some items from the museum on separate display at Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, a national facility located within Peace Memorial Park, in the month of August when the museum is particularly crowded, starting in 2024. In 2023, approximately 1.27 million people visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum between April and October, up by some 660,000 from the same period a year earlier. In addition to the G7 leaders' visit having raised attention to the museum, the downgrading of the coronavirus to a Class 5 disease in Japan has apparently spurred travel and helped boost the number of visitors to the facility.
