I would like to go on some hikes while in japan, but it's pretty difficult to find English information on hiking in japan. If anyone can recommend some websites with info or some good hikes that would be awesome. I'm going to be in Yokohama for 5 months so i want to hit some hikes in that area too.
Here's some links I've found so far, please add to the list if possible:
if you are coming during the winter months i would suggest trying to go on a Mt. Hakoda snowshoe hike. its pretty cool with snow covering 20-30 ft trees and stuff. its pretty cool in the summer too. this is northern japan in aomori prefecture.
Six or seven hundred kilometers might be a bit more than he is willing to travel. I would suggest something in the Oku-Tama region (extremely rural western Tokyo).
(By the way, drifting is not only a crime, it is a public nuisance. Americans in general and the military in particular have a bad enough reputation without you adding to the problem).
