Utada Hikaru's next single will be coming out on January 29, one week after Shena Ringo's. This is also just a "tentative" release date. For the b-sides on the single, expect to see the English version of Hikari, along with Simple and Clean, featured in the American release of Kingdom Hearts and the Japanese "Kingdom Hearts - Final Mix"

Singer Hikaru Utada (19) announced on the 3rd on her homepage that making the new single "Colors", scheduled for release January 29th was a "joy to produce". Also included in the single will be "Simple and Clean" (theme song for "KINGDOM HEARTS -FINAL MIX-") and extras such as screensavers and a wallpaper.

Hikari is way better. This is another one of those typical US-conversions where they strip away anything that has a melody. They could have at least left the backing vocals in there.
Mind you, the lyrics are also rubbish.
Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel.

Right, perhaps if you relate it to the game it might make sense, but then again, nobody has ever been so nice to provide me with a Playstation 2 console, so i can't judge from that point of view.
I noticed something interesting about this song. The producers cleverly borrowed a part of the chorus from the song Uso Mitaina I Love You, so that the lyrics would fit better.

waah! you guys dont know about Utada?.... her album should be out by sometime in 2004.... she's under island defjam label.... her album right now is currently done but yeah.... anywho yah she is gonna release a us album .... she also has an adveritising team doin Prodject HU.... anywho.... yeah
