She's my favorite Japanese singer ever... And I personally think Ultra Blue was her best album. I love every song in it!! XD

My fave songs by her are Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro [the meaning of the lyrics are beautiful] and One Night Magic [it's so... magical~ LoL]...

I agree with the Ultra Blue being her best album part, fav song on it for me is COLORS.

Although sometimes I do wonder why she put a LOT of old singles in Ultra Blue [like COLORS and Dareka no]... And they're singles that are already in her Best album~

I guess some fans might have felt pretty cheated by all those filler singles, but Ultra Blue still is great, nevertheless... ^_^

By the way~ She had an ovarian cyst (not cancerous, though) a couple of years ago right? And they had to operate her... So can she still have a baby? (Since her cyst was in her ovary?)

Utada her new single is coming up (probably in February), I already heard it in the Japanese tv drama "hana Yori dango" and the name of the song is "Flavor of life".

I think it is a really great song, andﾂ it kind of has two parts in it, uptempo and balled in one song.

I listened to hikaru for the first time the other day
i absolutly love passion and the english version too
her voice ins proper lovely!

did she start her career in america? then move to japan?

Hikaru was born in New York and her parents lived and worked there. So yes, she started her career in America. Ind then moved to Japan.
